Self Portrait Series - ManBabies

A portrait of my dad and me from 1976. Inspired by the genius that is manbabies.com. If you haven't seen this sight, you are missing out.

Looking For My Twin.

I found a glove in the hallway the other day and sent an email out to see if anyone was missing one. I thought the picture would be funnier if I added Tom Cruise's smile to it. Success.

Self Portrait Series - Cheshire Cat

As a supplement to an email about remembering to smile when a tour comes through the studio, I thought of the iconic and slightly freaky Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. I am fairly certain that I am going to have nightmares about whatever you call that "thing" I came up with. Yikes.

What if...

I was archiving a bunch of photography at work and came across a great shot of two of my coworkers Erica and Neil from a staff picnic. I couldn't help think; would anybody notice if they switched hairstyles for a day?

Self Portrait Series - Bret McKenzie

Finally got my iSight camera fixed. Yafrickinhoo! Here is a special request for my sister Lauren. She always said I remind her of that guy from Flight of the Conchords. Thought I would take advantage of the fact that I had been slacking on shaving and bang this one out.

Self Portrait Series - Greatest American Hero

Imagine my surprise when two friends (children of the eighties) at Michelle's office had no idea who Ralph Hinkley and Bill Maxwell were.  How could you miss it?  The Greatest American Hero?  Hello?  Best show ever...

Self Portrait Series - Obi Wan Kenobi

Another special request for Lauren and Heidi.  It was hard to decide which Obi-Wan was the right fit for my portrait.  Young Obi is too goofy with his little pony tail and mature Ben is too iconographic to mess with.  I settled in the middle.   It doesn't hurt to include Mace Windu to add a level of cool to the scene.

Squirrel's Revenge

This is a gift for my step dad Paul McCaffrey.  This summer, he had been trying to protect the bird feeders from the squirrels with his trusty pellet gun.  He enjoyed it so much he started to temp the cute little critters with tasty goodies.  They caught on... Special thanks to Lauren for playing the part of the squirrel.
